From 20 to 24 September on the basis of the Kostanay Regional University named after. A. Baitursynov held the 1st block seminar on module 2 “Crop and livestock systems in a changing climate” within the framework of the international project ERASMUS + 610383-EPP-1-2019-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP (2019-2086) Improvement postgraduate education in sustainable agriculture and agricultural systems of the future (SAGRIS).
The block seminar was held on the basis of 2 universities:
Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, (Kostanay, Kazakhstan)
Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V.R. Filippova, (Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia, Russia)
Participants with Zhangir Khan WKAU were Nagieva A.G., Zakirova F.B., Irgalieva G., doctoral students Kuzhebaeva U., Dukeeva A.
During the week-long seminar, topical issues of agriculture in the context of climate change were discussed, visits to progressive agricultural enterprises in the region, showing how they respond to climate change, in which scientists from Kazakhstan, Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland took part.
The participants of the seminar visited Kazakhstani enterprises – dairy farm “Bek +”, KH “Terra” and LLP “Troyana”.
During the seminar, a 2nd year doctoral student of the specialty Agronomy Dukeeva A.K. made a presentation on the topic: “The impact of agriculture on soil fertility” (leader Nagieva A.G.)
Doctoral and postgraduate students presented case studies prepared during the seminar. Also, within the framework of the seminar, a round table was held with the participation of representatives of Russia and Kazakhstan on the topic “Problems of the future agriculture in the context of climate change.”
